I found glogster difficult to use. I did not find the tools to be intuitive and the site was not performing properly. Usually I was not able to use the tool bar or embed a video.

I love pinterest! so many great ideas all in the same place!
I found a poster I absolutely love about the culture iceberg that I mentally refer to often to help me remember how much more is going on under the surface for my students. :) Pinterest is full of great stuff for teachers! I have found tons of great stuff there.

Here is the link to my google doc. These are the summary/analysis questions that we are working on today in class. On my campus we use google docs and google drive for everything! I absolutely love it. It makes editing a document and sharing it so easy! We use a shared drive as a department and it has helped us collaborate so much.

I included it on my home page as well.
It was very easy to set up and use. I really liked how intuitive the tool bar was and it will help me keep my current events updated for my students. I think it is very important for teachers to have a PLN. As teachers we are always thinking about our students and our lessons.

building the wiki was almost fun! I found it much easier to use than glogster. I think it could be very useful throughout the year. It's a great way to keep all the parts of the assignment together for the kids and avoid the inevitable "Miss, what did we do yesterday? I wasn't here" It was not very self explanatory though and I did struggle to get through this assignment

Animoto!!
I love Animoto! It was definitely the easiest and most fun to use. They had some great images and video clips that made it easy. I would show this when we study linguistic regions/Francophone Regions...I liked that I was able to figure it out pretty quickly. I might actually use this in my classes!

This is the graph I made using Create A Graph. I will definitely be using this next year! It was super easy and I love how it's possible to make a graph of ANY data the students are gathering! LOVE IT.

  1. Great blog! Your template is beautiful and it's super easy to navigate. You seem to be a dynamic person and a passionate teacher. I've enjoyed being in trainings with you over the course of this year, as you have provided challenging questions and perspective to our discussions. Best of luck to you in the years to come.

  2. Maggie, I was glad to know I was not the only person who had difficulties with this class. I dislike Glogster a lot, and found it extremely difficult to work with. I hope that your year has gone well, and hopefully next year will be even better! :)
